Australian Girl Doll - clothes

I bought this Australian Girl Doll while in Brisbane visiting my son. I'm discovering I love making doll's clothes - knit or sewn, now the challenge of shoes and/or boots. (and maybe a fishing rod to complete the fishing outfit!)

It's April already, where has March gone?
The trip to visit the family went very well. The boys helped Opa with some woodwork projects. A wooden sword each for them and a ironing board and iron for Zoe. The pattern for the ironing board  was found on duofiberworks.com

The boys enjoyed the woodwork and they all painted their own creations in colours of choice.

The knitting I had done was received very well too. Oliver liked the colours.

Now to send Thomas and Jonty theirs.

Well so far I've been tardy in 2012 as far as blogging is concerned. I've had the excuse of learning to use my new e-reader, which took a LOT of time. That was a huge learning curve for me (still is a little) The more I use it the easier it'll get - as with most things I guess.

We've also been fishing and I hope to have some photos to load soon, as I didn't take my camera these last few trips - I do think there is a photo of me knitting on-board which could look quite funny - I'll have to learn to upload from my phone! All these tech problems. Life seems full of them all of a sudden.

The knitting is going well. Getting somethings together for our trip to the South Island.

This little set will no doubt be for one of the boys - only one texting glove to go - knitted in Jolly Jumbuck 4 ply colourway 'wild corn' The pattern of the hat was given me verbatim by friend Dee - the fingerless gloves "Adorable kids fingerless gloves" by Wei S.Leong

This is a trial - knitted out of left over acrylic - to be knitted in wool in larger needles so it doesn't pucker. I was pleased with it because I don't usually knit colour work. This means I'll do more of it. It is an adapted version of "the from Norway with love hat"  by Anna and Heidi Pickles.
The next item is "Trillian" by Martina Behm, knit in Opal sock yarn colourway Masken Ball. The photo doesn't do it justice - it's since been gifted to Helen-Jean so I can't replace the photo unfortunately.
Maybe the next photo will give you a better idea of the vibrancy of it
My fist post a whole month late, still I hope to do better now I've got a better handle on some of this and keep you up to day with what's happening. Not only on the yarny and fishing front - I'll maybe take you to a trip around the garden!
